Catching up on the news . . .

while waiting for lunch. :)

A Decade!

10 Years! Look at this group of decaders (Yes, a new word that I just made up :)) Pretty amazing that I am one of them. Yesterday I received my 10 year award for working at ORTV. I've been part-time for the past two years, but still thankful to be part of the family and ministry. It's been an incredible journey. While sitting in chapel yesterday I thought back to my very first chapel at ORTV and marveled. Absolutely marveled at all God has done and continues to do.

Baby Birds

It's the time of year where you see many baby birds in their nests. I always marvel at the different places mama birds find for nesting. Today we came across this nest while out and about above a local store. The mama bird made her nest under old Chinese New Year decorations. These wee little winged ones were hungry and mama bird was busy.

Cup of Joy!

One of my new goals is to finish all of the tea in my tea cupboard! I've been brewing and chilling tea to help beat the Taipei heat and humidity these days. Though I live in a land of great tea, I still enjoy tea from home like STASH teas. I have a nice stash of STASH goodness here. :) This week I made a big pot of White Christmas tea and it was such a wonderful blend of Christmas in May -white tea with peppermint and ginger and it was especially good chilled with milk. My stash of White Christmas tea is now done, so on to a new flavour. I so enjoyed the tea, but also enjoy finishing things and having some closure. I also like how STASH teas have CUP of JOY on the strings. Just had to share a little cup of joy from today!

Mother's Day

In Malia's car on the way to church.
I had the opportunity to share on my journey in motherhood at a local church.
Selah wore her ladybug outfit :) Daniel made me some sweet mother's day signs. :)
So thankful these two call me, "Mama" :)
Jeremiah is becoming more and more of a proud big brother. So proud of him!
Love her little expression here :)
My first Mother's Day with Selah.

Family Art

I gave Daniel the biggest blank canvas I could find for Christmas and asked him to paint something for our living room. I was absolutely wowed by what he did. This painting speaks so much of our family and our journey on this amazing island. There are so many details that have so many heart words in them. I just keep looking at it and finding more. I guess that is what art is all about.

It was also a blessing to watch the progression of this work. Jeremiah was often right beside Daniel with his own "painting" as daddy worked, and sometimes right beside him "helping". :)

Daniel did the final touches this week and now we just have to put it up! :)
