Taro Club

Our Taro Club hit TA ROad after work today. It was the first meeting of our new taro lovers crew. Bless Malia's heart who organized our first outing. It was tarotasic! Our first stop was at a taro ice place. We got two plates filled with milky shaved ice and topped with taro paste, lotus seeds and boiled peanuts. Then we walked up ta road a little more to our second stop. It looked like a Chinese medicine stand from the outside, but we found the goodness inside. Here I enjoyed a warm sweet taro soup with chunks of taro and more lotus seeds. Can't get enough of the lotus seeds! We also tried an incredibly bitter Chinese tea. The bitter really bit you at first, but then it was intriguingly addictive. Especially when sipped with little powdered plum tablets. It was a tarotally fun time!

It's a privilege to leave a comment in your blog, Andrea. You make me hungry to try the tempting taro treat. And a triple treat. I see special friends Rachel, Steve and you posing with your taro gastronomical experience. And is the other pretty lady Malia?

Your camera takes excellent pictures.

When I come to Taipei, will you introduce me to the taro family of delights?

Love,
"Dad" wayne
